Our Pernod Ricard UK team took over the iconic Champagne Room at The Connaught Hotel to introduce the second release from The Glenlivet Winchester Whisky Collection – the Vintage 1966.

The pinnacle of The Glenlivet Winchester collection, Vintage 1966 is a series of rare 50 year-old single malt whiskies. There are only 100 bottles available in the world, launching in Harrods with a price tag of £20,000 per bottle. We showcased the whisky to prominent media and digital influencers including The Independent, Esquire, AskMenUK, Mail Online and Twenty First Century Gent.

The unveiling was brought to life through The Glenlivet’s brand ambassador, Alan Winchester (who also acted as chief guardian) treated our guests to a dram of the Vintage 1966 - making them amongst the first in the world to try it.

As well as experiencing the taste notes, guests witnessed the craftsmanship that has gone into the product from the hand-blown glass bottle and gold Stopper set with a Quartz Cairngorm Stone, to the stunning Cherry Wood Cabinet that housed it. Editorial has already appeared on BBC's The One Show within two days of our launch, as well as the Independent online which led with the headline 'What does a £20,000 bottle of Whisky taste like?'
