Our teams were honoured to recently support leading wildlife photographer and ex PR mogul Margot Raggett as part of our pro bono commitment. Margot travelled around Africa and saw first hand the plight of African elephants to illegal ivory poaching. She wanted to do something to raise funds for leading wildlife charity, Born Free Foundation, to help fight this crime and save the animal from very possible extinction in 10 years time.

‘Remembering Elephants’ was born – a Kickstarter initiative which is centred around creating a coffee table book comprising stunning images of elephants taken by the world’s top wildlife photographers. As well as achieving national awareness of the initiative by achieving editorial in The Times and Daily Mirror, we helped smash the initial £20k fundraising target within the first 24 hours of the campaign launch - with the figure doubling within the first month. The book will be available for Christmas 2016 with all proceeds going to the charity.

To create further awareness, we are launching an internal competition for our teams to unleash their creativity and decorate elephant statues – with the winning 15 taking pride of place in our offices. We’ve already had an offer of creating a ‘SPURS’ style elephant in homage to her footie team from one of our Account Directors who worked on the pro bono campaign.
