Part of our ongoing commitment to supporting and nurturing PR at grassroots level, our alliance with the University of Bedfordshire is now in its eighth year. Last week we welcomed 20 of its final year PR & Marketing students, as they presented their PR recommendations on briefs that we had set for them – on male grooming brand Just for Men and mass market kids’ brand Cheestrings. The day gave the students a chance to be on the receiving end of live feedback from our teams and covered their proposals, content, budgets, measurement and presentation styles - equipping them with constructive feedback for their careers, as well as contributing to 12% of their overall degree marks. This year the sessions were run by our Snr Account Director, Amaya Alvarez and Account Director, Jodie Gee who were both inspired and impressed with the strategic thinking and reactive concepts from these digi natives.

The partnership has proved fruitful in terms of us attracting top talent as we recently hired Sophia Mead who was part of a the student group that presented to us two years ago - since leaving uni, Sophia spent two years gaining invaluable real-time marketing and newsroom PR experience in-house at Travelodge before joining Cirkle which had always been her destination of choice!

Good luck to all the students and we hope to see you knocking on our door!
