Our trade team has been creating a lot of noise in the sports & energy drinks category, launching two high profile brand extensions for Lucozade. Lucozade Energy Grafruitti took over Dhamecha wholesalers in Hayes with unmissable branding, banners and merchandising display units – stopping retailers who were visiting the wholesale outlet in their tracks. The Grafruitti sampling squads had their hands full too, encouraging retailers to trial the new variant and ultimately, stock up.

Working together with Newtrade – publisher of Better Wholesaling, Retail Newsagent, Retail Express and betterretailing.co.uk, we invited its journalists to ‘get Grafruitti’ at the event, offering interviews with Lucozade Ribena Suntory Ltd’s Head of Route to Market for Wholesale to talk about the commercial opportunity, as well as retailers and the depot manager. Interviews were filmed and uploaded to betterretailing.co.uk to bring the launch to life.

And for Lucozade Sport Mango & Passion Fruit, our one-to-one media briefings with the brand’s Marketing Manager took place at leading wholesaler Bestway in Park Royal. Asian Trader, Retail Newsagent, Retail Express, Better Wholesaling and Wholesale News were among those that attended and covered the news editorially, forming part of our integrated paid and earned campaign.

The event provided a great platform for Lucozade Sport to also talk about last year’s success with the launch of its Brazilian Guava flavour that tied in with the World Cup, and begin talking about the opportunity that the Rugby World Cup will present later this year.
