We’re safely back in the office following our stint in Berlin last week to attend the 2016 SABRE Awards which encompass the whole of the EMEA region.

Our luggage was a little heavier on the return journey as we were very proud winners of the prestigious GOLD SABRE for BLOGGER OUTREACH for our Energizer #WasteToWonder campaign. The win was made even sweeter as we beat some really strong competition including McDonald’s, AMEX and Unilever.

Our campaign saw us launch Energizer’s new EcoAdvanced battery (the first battery made from 4% recycled batteries) as we took a disruptive approach

to the battery sector by moving away from the brand’s traditional ‘press office' focus.

We translated Energizer EcoAdvanced’s proposition of ‘taking worn out things and making them better’ into ‘RE-IMAGINATION’ and set leading parenting bloggers the challenge to re-imagine household items into as many new upclycled innovations as possible (results included battery-powered fairylight paintbrush holders and even a space station).

The campaign created advocacy and sharing across Twitter and Facebook, smashing our KPIs and the campaign helped Energizer’s share grow by +3.4% at a time when the market leader was in decline.
