We knew when Cross Pens launched its iconic STAR WARS™ collection, we needed to create maximum impact to make the brand’s budget travel as far as possible amongst key influencers. Our teams created an exciting partnership with leading Islington artist, Dean Waite, commissioning him to produce a limited edition set of 13 hand drawn prints, using the new gel ink pens.

Each unique illustration featured an iconic Star Wars character including Darth Vader, C-3PO and Stormtroopers, and we also documented Dean’s illustration process in a timelapse video that will be used as engaging content for seeding across social channels.

We identified leading journalists and bloggers (including starwarsaficionado) to each receive one of these money-can’t-buy framed prints and will be further amplifying the initiative through an internal competition at Cross HQ where one print will be auctioned for charity. The Force is most definitely with us.
