Thorntons passes the love on to Retailers
To amplify Thorntons’ return to TV for the first time in six years, we brought its new creative platform ‘Pass the Love On’ to life amongst convenience sector retailers in the lead up to the fiercely competitive Christmas confectionery peak sales period.
Thorntons heritage lies in the love it puts into every chocolate that it makes - passing its special chocolates to retailers, then consumers and in turn, their loved ones. Insight from the Association of Convenience Stores
Local Shop Report showed that 12,500 UK convenience stores are passed down through the family unit and over 25,000 employ at least one other family member in their store. We used this insight and synergy to create a brand new, special category at this year’s prestigious Asian Trader Awards - the ‘Pass the Love On’ award, to celebrate the next generation of retailers who have taken on the family business.
Attended by over 800 influencers and leading convenience sector retailers, the new award was presented by our client Levi Boorer, Customer Development Director at Ferrero, the parent company of Thorntons’, as well as all guests receiving ‘Pass the Love On’ Thorntons' goodies.
