The PRCA's 2015 'Consultancy Head of the Year', Ruth is a lively conversationalist, passionate storyteller and social butterfly. On a constant quest for contrasting adventures and experiences, Ruth will holiday alone just to experience it, but prefers to travel as part of a pack - from the white isle of Ibiza, canoeing in the Scottish isles - to living in the heat of Zimbabwe and going to Junior High School in the chill of British Columbia.
Destined only ever for a career that combines engaging others with compelling stories and driving influence at scale, Ruth’s 16 years consumer and B2B PR experience have seen her work both in-house and agency side. Ruth joined Cirkle from the world’s largest alcohol company where she was Head of Brand PR for Diageo Western Europe, and before that she was at Weber Shandwick and Cohn & Wolfe.
Ruth has always sought innovative and engaging ways to build buzz and fame for large everyday FMCG brands. Thrilled to be back agency-side, she describes now as ‘the most spine-tingling and pivotal moment to be in the PR industry'. Ruth has been awarded a Fellowship by the PRCA, is Chairman of the its Consumer PR Group and is a mentor for the PR Week/Women in PR initiative.
