Tackling tapeworm awareness for Vetoquinol
MAKING DOG POO SPLAT ACROSS THE HEADLINES
If we asked you the question ‘have you ever spotted someone leaving a dog poo somewhere they shouldn’t have?’, we know what your answer will be. Yes.
It happens all the time and even more so in the countryside. There’s an assumption that because it’s a field, it’s fine to leave – but hidden dangers lurk in the form of tapeworms.
Tapeworms don’t get as much of the limelight as their parasitic friends, the lungworm… so we needed a way to change pet owner behaviours and make sure it was known why treating for tapeworm is important.
With a B2B2C approach, we worked with some cracking farming influencers – Red Shepherdess and Sean the Sheepman – to show exactly what happens to livestock if you do leave a poo out on your walk. Costing farmers millions every year, we were able to make people stop and think twice about picking up a Droncit tapeworm treatment on their trip to the vets.
